FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. –  The USA South Baseball Tournament seeding has been announced with the Lions earning the No. 2 seed in the West Division after taking down Brevard, 8-2, Wednesday afternoon in a win-or-go-home contest.
Piedmont will travel to LaGrange to take on the Panthers in a best-of-three first round series beginning with a Saturday doubleheader that is currently scheduled for 2 p.m. If necessary, deciding third game will be played Sunday, May 9.

The Lions finished the regular season with a 21-14 overall record and an 8-6 mark within the USA South.
Piedmont and LaGrange have met six times this season with the Panthers taking four of those contests. The teams first met at LaGrange for a nonconference three-game set in which the Lions took 2-of-3. However, the Panthers exacted revenge this past weekend, closing out the regular season with a three-game sweep at Loudermilk Field.
The 2021 USA South Baseball Tournament consists of the top-two teams in each of the conference's two divisions and is scheduled to begin this weekend with divisional first round best-of-three series action. The winners of the divisional series will meet in a best-of-three series for the conference title the following weekend. The higher-seeded team in each series will host.
