DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day in style, rolling past Huntingdon, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Burgen Tennis Courts.

On a beautiful sunny day in Demorest, Piedmont honored seniors CHASE MORRIS and ROMAN WEBB prior to the match for their contributions to the program.

There was much to celebrate during play as well, as the Lions rolled in doubles and singles, not dropping a single set in the victory.

As the Hawks only had four available players, PC began the day up 1-0 courtesy of a win by forfeit at No. 3 doubles. However, in the two matches to be played, Piedmont prevailed in those as well, as Morris teamed up with freshman MIKE PORCELLI to prevail, 8-3, at No. 1 doubles before Webb paired with sophomore COOPER KEWORK to deliver an 8-4 win at No. 2.

After a pair of wins by forfeit at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, Piedmont essentially clinched the match at the conclusion of doubles.

Even with the match in hand, there was still impressive work shown by the four competing. Webb delivered a Senior Day triumph with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles before newcomer JACKSON TRAYLOR (6-3, 6-0) added another win at No. 2.

On his Senior Day, Morris delivered at the top spot the lineup, cruising to a 6-2, 6-3 victory before Kework battled but held on to lead the Lions to the clean sweep with a 6-4, 7-5 hard-fought win at No. 4.

Up next, the Lions are scheduled to host USA South foe Covenant in nonconference action this Wednesday, April 7 at 3:30 p.m.

STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- On a day in which they were both honored for their time in Demorest, both CHASE MORRIS and ROMAN WEBB delivered doubles and singles victories.
