DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont women's lacrosse team won its seventh consecutive contest on Sunday afternoon with a 17-7 win over Brevard in the regular season finale. Piedmont's win solidifies home field advantage in next week's USA South West Division Championship game.
The Lady Lions cruised to victory thanks to a flurry of production from their seniors after celebrating the senior class during pregame. From the jump,
AISLYNN KIMBRO scored each of the game's first two goals to give Piedmont early momentum.
After a free position goal from the Tornados kept it close, the Lady Lions clocked eight straight goals to lead 10-1 before taking a commanding 13-3 lead into the halftime break.
Kimbro continued her stellar day with three of Piedmont's four goals in the second half of play as the Lady Lions managed the gap and held onto their fifth double-digit win of the season.
Kimbro finished with a career-high seven goals and was closely followed by senior
EMMA FRANSEN, who totaled six points (five goals, one assist) on her senior day. Fransen also eclipsed 100 career draw controls in the victory.

MACEY HIGGINS found the net once and assisted on a pair of goals in the contest while fellow senior
BRITTANY GOWEN, who is sidelined with an injury, was in the starting lineup for one final time at the Walker Athletic Complex.
Up next will be the USA South West Division Championship game versus Pfeiffer on Sunday, April 25.
TURNING POINT:
- Kimbro's two goals set the table for another Piedmont route, but the first goal from Brevard ignited an 8-0 run that effectively put the game away while still in the first half.
STANDOUT PERFORMANCES:
- Asilynn Kimbro totaled a career-high seven goals in her final regular season game.

EMMA FRANSEN added five goals to her season total and earned her 100
th career draw control during the game, finishing with nine.

LINDLEY WARD scored a pair of goals and added three draw controls.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Piedmont outshot the Tornados 36-14 in the contest and held a 15-11 advantage in draw controls.
