DEMOREST, Ga. - The Piedmont women's soccer team dominated from start-to-finish in a 9-0 home win over Agnes Scott on Friday night.

Nine different players scored goals for Piedmont, which has now won all five of its conference games in shutout fashion. For the third consecutive conference game, the Lady Lions held their opponent without a shot, tallying 52 themselves in the victory.

Sophomore ANYA OLSON provided the opening goal, breaking the scoreless tie in the 26th minute with a strike from just outside the box that found the top corner of the net.

From there, the floodgates opened as ABBY JUDGE connected for her first career goal not even two minutes later. However, the Lions were not finished with the first-half onslaught as GABBIE HAYES rebounded her own shot and found the back of the net in the 41st minute. Hayes now is tied for the team lead with five goals on the season.

Finally, sophomore LESLEY RANDALL found the top left corner of the net to close out the first half scoring. The Lions held a 33-0 shot advantage in the first half.

Just two minutes into the second half, the scoring continued as AVERY PERRY's header found the back of the net to increase the Piedmont lead to 5-0.  Minutes later, KAITY HEMPERLY added her second of the game off a feed from AMANDA WEINHART. The assist from Weinhart was her third of the season.

Down the stretch, a trio of Lady Lions added the first goals of their careers with HAILEY TIGUE (53'), EMMA WILLIAMS (73') and JADE EDWARDS (79') finishing out the PC scoring tallies. Edwards closed out the scoring in style with a beautiful shot from just outside the box that curled in to the top left of the net past the keeper.

Agnes Scott goalkeeeper Ashley Kopczyk delivered a valiant effort in defeat, making 11 saves.

Up next, Piedmont will travel to take on Covenant next Saturday, March 20 at 2 p.m.
