Piedmont Announces Outdoor Athletic Spectator Policy

DEMOREST, Ga. – In accordance with the newly announced USA South COVID-19 spectator policy, below is the Piedmont Athletic Spectator Policy.
 
This policy goes into effect Friday, February 26.
 
HOME TEAM SPECTATOR POLICY
- No spectators from the visiting team will be allowed at any contests.
- All home team spectators will be required to wear a mask for the duration of their visit and maintain social distancing at all times.
- Two (2) family members of the home team only may be permitted to attend outdoor contests and must be on the submitted pass list by each Head Coach. 
- The two admits per student-athlete are non-transferrable, and cannot be extended to another family.
- All home team spectator names must be submitted by the Head Coach to the Athletic Director 24 hours prior to the game and cannot be changed.
- All home team spectators must present a valid ID matching the name given on the pass list at check-in to be granted entry. 
- All home team spectators will have their temperatures taken at check-in. Any temperature over 100.4 will be denied entry. 
- Absolutely no physical contact between families and their student-athletes will be permitted during the campus visit.
- No tailgating or group gatherings will be allowed at contests. All home team spectators will be asked to vacate the area and return to their vehicles and leave campus immediately upon the completion of the contest. 

CAMPUS COMMUNITY POLICY
- All campus community spectators will be required to wear a mask for the duration of the event and maintain social distancing at all times. 
- Faculty, staff and students are welcome at all outdoor events but must follow the same guidelines as home team spectators.
- All Piedmont campus community members must have their Piedmont ID for entry and complete the temperature scan. Any temperature over 100.4 will be denied entry. 
- No tailgating or group gatherings will be allowed at contests. All campus community spectators will be asked to vacate the area immediately upon the completion of the contest. 

PROCESS
- Each Head Coach must submit a pass list to the Athletic Director 24 hours BEFORE the game, which will be used for check-in on the day of the event.
- If a pass list is not submitted 24 hours prior to the contest, no home team spectators will be permitted. 
- There will be a centralized check-in tent for all baseball, lacrosse, soccer and softball events located on the concrete concourse behind the Mize Athletic Center. There will also be a tent for check-in located above the tennis courts for all tennis matches. All approved pass list home team spectators will be required to check-in at the appropriate tent. 
- All parking will be in the Mize Athletic Center parking lot for baseball, lacrosse, soccer and softball events. Tennis parking will be located above the tennis courts adjacent to the Plymouth & New Bedford dorms at the top of the concrete seating. 
- Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to the start time of the scheduled event and no entrance will be allowed for any home team spectators or campus community members prior to that window. 
- All home team spectators must present a valid ID matching the name given on the pass list at check-in to be granted entry. 
- All home team spectators and campus community members will be required to have their temperature taken at the check-in tent. Any temperature over 100.4 will be denied entry. 
- Upon successful completion of check-in, all home team spectators and campus community members will receive a colored wrist band that only permits them to attend their approved event for that day.
- There will be a designated seating and standing area for each athletic venue on Piedmont's campus. This will be communicated on a sport-by-sport basis. 
- No gathering in a group is permitted with families and/or student-athletes at any time.
- All indoor facilities at Piedmont are closed to the outside public. 
- No concessions will be available.
- Available restrooms are located on the exterior of the green building between the softball and baseball facilities. 
- Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from campus.

Designated seating and standing areas for each athletic venue will be released upon availability of information in accordance with all safety guidelines.
