ATLANTA, Ga. – A career night for NOAH REARDON was not enough for Piedmont in an 81-66 loss to Oglethorpe. The sophomore guard put up 21 in just his second start of his career including four 3-pointers.

WILL RICHTER got the Lions on the board first draining a 3-pointer on the first shot of the game. The Stormy Petrels led by as many as 10 with just over 11 minutes remaining in the first half, but Piedmont clawed back in to cut it to three with eight to play till the break.

Oglethorpe used a 14-2 run down the stretch and eventually built an 18 point lead at the half 48-30. Reardon accounted for the first five points in the second half with Piedmont slowing cutting into the lead.

A 3-pointer from ANDREW STIMPSON made it a 10 point game 54-44 with 14:09 to play and it was just a four point game 58-54 with 10:41 remaining. Four points was as close as the Lions would manage as Oglethorpe outscored Piedmont 9-2 in the final five minutes.
