MARYVILLE, Tenn. – In the second meeting between these two, the Piedmont men's basketball team earned a split with an 83-73 win over Maryville College Saturday. RYAN JOLLY again led the Lions though it was a complete team effort as all five starters scored in double figures.

ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS banked a 3-pointer right out of the gate for the Lions as Piedmont would connect on 10 total 3-pointers in the contest. RYAN JOLLY had a quick six points before the first media timeout as Piedmont led 10-9 at the under-16 media.

It was a low-scoring affair early as Piedmont held the Scots scoreless from 17:33 to 12:21 in the first half going on a 7-0 run to lead 14-9. Neither team led by more than seven in the last 10:00 of the first half and the two went into the break tied at 34.

It was another 3-pointer to start the half for Piedmont, this time from the hands of RYAN JOLLY. In the opening six minutes of the second half, Piedmont made five of its 10 3-pointers including a run of four straight made 3-pointers to take a 53-40 lead.

The Scots continued to fight getting within four points with just over 6:30 remaining in the game, but that was as close as the Lions would allow their foe. In the final six minutes of the game, JORDAN FOOTE and ORRY CLEMENTS-OWENS accounted for 11 of Piedmont's 19 points.

JORDAN FOOTE notched his second straight double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, scoring all 11 points in the final 12:00 of the game.
