ORLANDO, Fla. – The Piedmont women's tennis team continued its strong play in Orlando, rolling to a 7-0 win over Shippensburg to win its sixth consecutive contest on Tuesday night.
 
Playing singles first, Piedmont once again put on an impressive showing, sweeping all six lines in straight sets with three players not dropping a game.
 
MEGAN WALDHEIM did not drop a single game at No. 1 singles while DAKOTA WILKES also shut out her opponent with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 6 as MORGAN BUCHHOLZ did the same at No. 3.
 
The Lady Lions prevailed in a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles but had already clinched the doubles point with the teams playing Division I rules.
 
MAGGIE MOODY and KARA LANDSIEDEL cruised to a 6-1 win at No. 2 while freshmen TYLER PERRY and KAITLYN HOUSE did the same at No. 3 to put the Lady Lions up 1-0 heading into singles.
 
Up next, the Lady Lions will not play Wednesday before wrapping up its Orlando trip with an 8 a.m. match against Ursinus on Thursday.
