ORLANDO, Fla. – The Piedmont College women's tennis team ended its Orlando Spring Break trip in style, claiming an 8-1 victory over Ursinus on Thursday morning.
 
The Lady Lions took all six singles lines in straight sets and won two of the three doubles matches on their way to a seventh consecutive victory.
 
Piedmont delivered a pair of dominating doubles wins as CAROLINE CONNELLY and MEGAN WALDHEIM won, 8-2, at No. 1 before MAGGIE MOODY and KARA LANDSIEDEL took their match, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles.
 
While the Bears were able to win at No. 2 doubles to claim a point before singles, PC quickly shut the door on any comeback chances with a dominating singles performance.
 
The Lady Lions took all six matches in two sets as MEGAN WALDHEIM pulled through a hard-fought first set to win, 7-5, before cruising to win the match after a 6-2 edge in the second.
 
After dropping its first match of the trip to Occidental, the Lady Lions reeled off seven consecutive wins for a 7-1 trip.
 
Up next, PC returns home to host Huntingdon in nonconference action this Saturday, March 14 at 10 a.m.
