ORLANDO, Fla. – The Piedmont women's tennis team rolled to a 6-1 win over Morningside as the teams played into the late hours on Monday night in Orlando.
 
Playing Division I rules with the doubles matches counting for just a single point, Piedmont took that point with three dominating wins.
 
The Lady Lions were able to continue their momentum into singles action, winning five of the six lines, all in straight sets.
 
Playing No. 3 singles, SAMANTHA LOWRY was pushed to a first-set tiebreaker, but prevailed, 7-2, before rolling to a 6-2 victory in the second set.
 
Up next, the Lady Lions will play a pair of matches on Tuesday, starting at 11:30 a.m. against Carthage and concluding with a 6:30 p.m. match against Shippensburg.
