DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont College women's soccer team closed out the Bradford Classic on Sunday, winning 1-0 over Guilford College.

AMANDA WEINHART scored the game's only goal in the second minute after a KAYLEE KING shot was saved but rebounded off the goalie.

Weinhart was able to corral the rebound and put the ball in the net for the game winning goal.

Piedmont held on for the first half and out shot Guilford 8-4. The Quakers made five saves in the opening 45 minutes.

The Lady Lions again controlled much of the second half, but Guilford had a great look in the 81st minute before MIRANDA MCNALLEY made a diving save to keep the clean sheet alive.

The junior keeper finished the game with three saves.
