DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 14 University of Lynchburg on Sunday at the Walker Athletic Complex.
After a Piedmont (5-3-0) foul was called inside the Lynchburg (4-2-0) 18', the Hornets converted the ensuing penalty kick to lead 1-0 in the seventh minute.
In the 39th minute, Piedmont would score off a corner kick, but the goal was disallowed after a foul was called against the Lady Lions.
Both teams battled for the remainder of the contest as Lynchburg outshot Piedmont 17-6.
MIRANDA MCNALLEY made six saves in the loss.
