CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Piedmont College women's lacrosse team dropped a neutral-site matchup on Thursday, losing 17-7 to Swarthmore College.

The Garnet jumped out to a
6-0 lead before junior
DOMONIQUE STEELE put Piedmont on the board at the 18:48 mark.
Swarthmore added seven more goals to take a 13-1 lead at halftime.
EMMA FRANSEN scored for the Lady Lions to open the second half but Swarthmore answered under two minutes later.
ROWAN BUMPASS and Steele added goals to pull Piedmont within 10 at the 20:20 mark. After a Swarthmore goal, Steele,
MACEY HIGGINS and Fransen scored Piedmont's final goals.
The Garnet closed the game with two goals in the final three minutes.
