GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Piedmont men's lacrosse team dropped its first road contest of the season on Saturday, losing 9-4 at Guilford College.

The Quakers set the tone early in the game, jumping out to a 5-1 lead after the first quarter. Guilford led 4-0 before
BRADY JENKS scored his first of two goals.

Playing a man up in the final seven seconds of the opening quarter, Guilford was able to sneak in a goal with one second remaining on the clock.

After the slow start on defense, Piedmont clamped down in the second and allowed one goal, this time with two seconds left in the half.

JOSH COBBINA added a goal in the second quarter as Piedmont was playing a man down. Guilford led 6-2 at the break.

A low scoring third quarter saw Guilford score twice to lead 8-2 after three quarters. The Quakers would open the fourth with their own man-down goal to lead 9-2.

Jenks scored his second goal with 1:09 left in the game before
DANIEL MARSHALL scored a man-up goal with 58 seconds remaining to close out the scoring.

ZACH CZULADA finished with 15 saves.
