DECATUR, Ga. – The Piedmont College women's soccer team scored three first-half goals on Wednesday as the Lady Lions defeated Agnes Scott 3-1 in a midweek USA South Athletic Conference game.

KAYLEE KING scored her third goal of the season in the fourth minute after a high-lofted shot found the back of the net.

Just over two minutes later, ABBY COX scored off an assist from ANYA OLSON to give Piedmont a quick 2-0 lead in the sixth minute of play.

Piedmont controlled the remainder of the first half, before REID JOHNSON scored her team-best fifth goal in the 41st.

Johnson received a pass from JADE EDWARDS and was able to one-time it for the third goal of the half.

The Lady Lions led 8-3 in shots for the first half and finished with 19 for the game.

Agnes Scott scored its lone goal in the 90th minute off a loose ball following a corner kick.

MIRANDA MCNALLEY played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with three saves.

Edwards and SYDNEY KRAUSE led all players with three shots apiece.
