DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's soccer team scored off three penalty kicks on Sunday, as the Lady Lions defeated Berea 4-1 in a USA South Athletic Conference matchup at the Walker Athletic Complex.

Prior to the game, Piedmont honored its six seniors, EMILY SKELTON, VERONICA CAPPAS, DEVIN HAUPT, ANSLYN STAMPS, ALEEA BISHOP and NICKI BOYD.

The Mountaineers (2-11-0, 1-3-0 USAS) scored the game's first goal in the 32nd minute, but Piedmont (8-5-1, 3-1-0 USAS) would answer two minutes later.

After a Berea foul inside the 18-yard box, REID JOHNSON scored off a penalty kick to tie the game 1-1.

Piedmont would head into halftime with a 9-4 shot advantage and a 5-0 lead in corner kicks.

The Lady Lions would control most of the second half, outshooting Berea 10-1.

Stamps added Piedmont's second goal in the 59th after another Berea foul inside the box.

Just over five minutes later, KATELYN SMITH found the back of the net for another Piedmont PK to put the Lady Lions ahead 3-1.

TORI ROPER then scored the game's final goal in the 76th after a MADISON HATFIELD pass beat the defense. Roper slipped the ball past the keeper who came out to the edge of the box for an attempted save.

Skelton started the game in goal before MIRANDA MCNALLEY closed out the second half.

Piedmont played 29 players for the contest
