REDLANDS, Calif. – The Piedmont College women's soccer team closed out its California trip with a 1-0 loss to University of Redlands on Sunday.
Both teams battled hard to start the match and had opportunities to score but went into the half tied 0-0.
Redlands held a 7-5 shot advantage in the first half, but Piedmont placed four shots on goal while the Bulldogs managed two.
The second half started where the first 45 left off, but Redlands would take control with a goal in the 80th minute off a corner kick. The Lady Lions would counter but failed to find the back of the net.
Sophomore keeper
MIRANDA MCNALLEY recorded six saves while allowing one goal in 90 minutes of play.
Senior
CASSIDY REICH had four shots with two being on cage, while sophomores
CASSIE KIRK and
VERONICA CAPPAS added two shots a piece.
