DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont men's tennis team closed its USA South Athletic Conference schedule with a 9-0 win over rival Huntingdon College on Friday night.
The Lions wasted no time in the delayed match and took all three doubles matches to lead 3-0.
The #3 team of
ROMAN WEBB and
HARRISON LABOLLITA picked up the first point with an easy 8-0 win.
The #1 duo of
NATHAN METZGER and
JACKSON HILL won 8-4 before the #2 team of
BRYAN BARNETT and
ANDREW CHITTY closed doubles out with an 8-5 win.
The Lions also had an easy night in singles as all six players won in straight sets.
CHASE MORRIS took the first singles point at #6 with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Metzger clinched the match for Piedmont at #1 with a 6-2, 6-2 win.
Alex Tomlin won 6-3, 6-3 at #4 while Hill won 6-2, 6-3 at #2.
SAMUEL NIEBANCK won 7-6, 6-2 at #5 before
KANLER CUMBASS closed the match with a 7-6, 6-3 victory at #3.
