BEREA, Ky. – The Piedmont men's tennis team took to the courts on Friday and swept Berea College 9-0 for the second time this season.
The Lions jumped out to a 3-0 lead after taking care of business in doubles play.
CHASE MORRIS and
KANLER CUMBASS teamed up at #2 and gave Piedmont its first point of the day with an 8-1 win.
The #1 team of
NATHAN METZGER and
ROMAN WEBB and the #3 team of
SAMUEL NIEBANCK and
LUKE WOGOMAN each took 8-0 wins.
In singles play, the Lions had three players (Metzger #1, Niebanck #3 and Webb #5) take 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Cumbass was victorious at #2 with a 6-1, 6-0 result while Morris won 6-2, 6-0 at #4. Wogoman capped the day with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #6.
