ATLANTA, Ga. - The Piedmont College baseball team dropped a road contest to Oglethorpe Wednesday 13-4. The Lions put up four hits to the Stormy Petrels' seven as
NATE ROTENBERGER took the loss earning the start.
Oglethorpe scored the first three runs of the game in the bottom of the third inning, but the Lions responded with two runs in the fifth to cut it to a 3-2 game.
COLLIN GRANT hit a leadoff home run to start the inning followed by
JABIN SMITH scoring an unearned run off an error.
The Stormy Petrels went on an offensive attack scoring 10 runs over the next three innings with Piedmont adding a pair of runs in the eighth inning.
The Lions used six pitchers in the contest including
MICHAEL HENDERSON who closed out the game with the final two outs without giving up a hit.

--The Stormy Petrels used a five-run fifth inning to establish a lead and maintained it through the remainder of the contest.
