DEMOREST, Ga. – After a Huntingdon yellow card midway through the first overtime period, DEVIN HAUPT delivered a ball from roughly 45-yards out to score the game-winning goal as the Lady Lions defeated Huntingdon 1-0 on Friday night in USA South Athletic Conference play.

Haupt was able to place the ball behind CASSIDY REICH as it took one bounce over the Huntingdon keeper's head.

Piedmont (13-4-1, 7-1-0) got off to a slow start offensively as Huntingdon (6-7-3, 4-4-0) held a 7-1 shot advantage at halftime.

The Lady Lions kept it close in the second half but were still outshot 8-6. The bright spot during regulation was the Piedmont defense, which held Huntingdon to only three shots on goal for the first 90 minutes.

Huntingdon had the first opportunity to score in overtime off a free kick, but keeper MIRANDA MCNALLEY was there to make the save.

Less than 20 seconds later, Huntingdon received a yellow card, setting up the game-winning kick from Haupt.

McNalley finished the game with four saves in over 90 minutes of action.
