MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Piedmont College women's soccer team fell 1-0 at USA South Athletic Conference rival Maryville College on Friday night at the MC Soccer Complex.
 
Piedmont (10-4-1, 5-1-0) entered Friday's game having gone 11-0-1 in its 12 previous USA South games. The Lady Lions' last loss in conference action was to Maryville (9-5-0, 6-0-0) in 2016.
 
The Scots took the early lead in the 8th minute and finished the first half outshooting the Lady Lions 10-4 and 6-2 in shots on goal.
 
MIRANDA MCNALLEY made five saves while allowing one goal in the first 45 minutes.
 
Piedmont had no answer in the second half for Maryville even though the Lady Lions outshot the Scots 6-2.
 
The Lady Lions had chances late but their final shot was saved in the 85th minute. The Scots were able to close out the game with a pair of Piedmont fouls giving them possession late.
 
McNalley finished with seven saves.
