BEREA, Ky. – Senior SAMANTHA ISHEE scored a pair of goals in less than two minutes on Sunday as the Piedmont women's soccer team upended Berea College 2-0 in a USA South Athletic Conference matchup.
 
Piedmont (11-4-1, 6-1-0) opened the game by peppering the Berea defense with 13 shots before Ishee scored her first of two goals in the 40th minute with assists from ABBY COX and VERONICA CAPPAS.
 
Less than two minutes later, Cappas found Ishee once again as Piedmont pulled ahead 2-0 over the Mountaineers (8-7-0, 2-5-0).
 
Piedmont went into halftime with a 19-3 shot advantage.
 
Goalies MIRANDA MCNALLEY and EMILY SKELTON split time in goal as McNalley made the start and had one save. Skelton played the final 45minutes and had three saves.
 
The Piedmont offense slowed down in the second half as the Lady Lions managed only four shots to Berea's five.
 
Ishee led Piedmont with four shots while ALLIE KUZEL, GABBY LOTTER and ANSLYN STAMPS each had three shots.
