Montgomery, AL - The Piedmont College men's lacrosse team finished the 2017 season with a loss to Methodist 21-2 in the SEILC tournament at Huntingdon College. The Lions struggled to get on the board as Methodist took control early and never let up. 

The Monarchs scored 10 unanswered to open the game while it was just nine seconds before the halftime buzzer that the Lions got on the board. PRESTON QUARLES finished a pass from BRITT KENNEDY to net the Lions' first goal just before the break. 

Piedmont was the first to score again in the second half posting back-to-back goals as it was CHRIS HADLOW that scored goal #2 for PC also off a Kennedy assist. The Monarchs again went on a run to score 11 unanswered and take the contest 21-2.

Turning Point
--The Monarchs scored 10 unanswered to start the contest taking control in the first period going up 7-0. 

Standout Performances
--Andrew Ruskey scored five goals in the contest to lead all scorers as Methodist had four multi-goal scorers. 

Inside the Box Score
--The Lions won just four face-offs in the game, one in each period, while Methodist won 22.

--Piedmont's ZACH CZULADA and NICK BURNS were named to the All-Tournament team.
