Location: Montgomery, Alabama - Huntingdon College

Montgomery, AL - A five-point run by TRAE GAINES in the final 31 seconds of play sealed a come-from-behind victory for the Lions who won 75-72 over Huntingdon. The Hawks led by as many as nine in the contest but the Lions fought back and earned their sixth conference victory of the season.

It was a low-scoring affair in the opening minutes as it was 12-3 Huntingdon leading with 13:47 to play in the first half. The Lions had a similar slow start against Averett but were down 21 points and nearly managed a comeback.

An ELIJAH ALSTON 3-pointer sparked the Lions as CHASE ENGLAND hit a triple as well on his way to four 3-pointers in the game. Alston connected on another shot from behind the arc and then added a jumper to cut it to a two-point game with HC leading 18-16.

The Hawks went on a 9-2 run to stretch it back to a nine-point lead at 27-18 but then it was the Lions' turn for a run of its own, going on a 19-6 run to end the first half leading 37-33. Piedmont had a total of four 3-pointers in that run including three of them back-to-back-to-back in a minute time span.

Huntingdon came out of the locker room and regained the lead, but from that point on it was a back-and-forth contest. The Hawks took a 7-point lead 56-49 with 9:57 to play but PC went on a nine-point run capped off by a TRAE GAINES 3-pointer.

From that point on it was never more than a two point contest in either direction until Gaines' final free throw to make it 75-72. The two were tied at 70 with 1:52 to play, but the Hawks took a 72-70 lead with 39 seconds left on the clock. Gaines answered with a 3-pointer just eight seconds later and sealed the game with a pair of free throws.

Turning Point
--Five points from TRAE GAINES in the final 31 seconds sealed the game for Piedmont as he connected on a 3-pointer to put Piedmont up one and hit a pair of free throws with 4.7 seconds left on the clock.

Standout Performances
--Four Lions scored in double figures led by JUSTIN VALLEJO who had 15 points
--CHASE ENGLAND had four 3-pointers in the contest going 4-of-8 from behind the arc.

Inside the Box Score
