SEWANEE, Tn. - On the road in action for the first time in two weeks, the Piedmont College men's basketball team dropped a 60-37 decision to Sewanee Wednesday evening. It was a tight game at the half but the Tigers used a second half surge to seal the win outscoring Piedmont 37-17.

It was a low-scoring affair in the first half as Sewanee led 23-20 at the break, but the Lions closed the gap over the final nine minutes after trailing by eight. An and-one play to end the half by LANDRY ASSINESI made it a three point game heading into halftime.

JUSTIN VALLEJO scored a layup to start the second half making it a one point game, but the Tigers scored seven straight with five points coming from the charity stripe. Piedmont would once again score a jumper by TAYLOR MILLS then surrender another seven in a row.

Sewanee took control in the second half not allowing any Piedmont player to score more than four points in the second half.
