DEMOREST, Ga. – The Piedmont women's soccer team scored three first-half goals to take a 4-0 win over USA South Athletic Conference opponent Wesleyan College on Saturday afternoon at the Walker Athletic Complex.

TORI GILLETT found CASSIDY REICH for the first two Lady Lions' goals. Reich put Piedmont on the board in the eighth minute of play and scored nine minutes later to give PC a 2-0 lead.

JAZMIN PENADO scored in the 27th minute after Weslyan was unable to clear the ball form in front of the net. PC held a 13-1 shot advantage at halftime and took nine first half corner kicks.

SAVANNAH CASTLES scored the final goal for Piedmont in the 50th minute off a penalty kick.

The Lady Lions defense held Wesleyan to a total of three shots and freshman keeper MIRANDA MCNALLEY recorded her sixth shutout of the year in the win.


Standout Performances
-- Reich scored two goals off of three shots while Gillett recorded two assists.

--  PC played a total of 26 players in Saturday's conference win.
