DEMOREST, Ga. - On senior day for the Piedmont College volleyball team, KATELYN DURMIRE threw a block party with eight blocks to lead the Lady Lions to a 3-1 win over Berea. Piedmont used several key runs to coast to victory including an 8-0 run to end the contest in the fourth set.
The first set was a close win for PC as they pulled out a 25-20 win but Piedmont made quick work in the second set with a 25-14 victory. The key to the second set victory was a 15-1 run to close out the set with CAMILLE HUNT and HALEY HIXON serving for the Lady Lions during the stretch.
In the third, Berea used a run of their own to come back for the victory trailing 20-14 but taking a 25-21 win. The final set left no doubt as Piedmont dominated the court with a 25-6 win taking a 15-3 lead to start the set.
KATELYN DURMIRE played her final match inside Cave Arena with a team-high eight blocks and added six kills. ANNA WRIGHT led the Lady Lions with 11 kills while HALEY HIXON had 25 digs and JENNA WENDEL tallied 19 assists.
Turning Point
--To end the second set, PC outscored Berea 15-1 as they trailed 13-10 but then reeled off an impressive streak to seal the victory.
Standout Performances
--KATELYN DURMIRE tallied eight blocks in the contest as she continues to impress with 88 blocks this season and sits second all-time in school history in block assists.

--This match marked the final home contest of the season for Piedmont and the final time in action inside Cave Arena for KATELYN DURMIRE.

--Piedmont heads to Montgomery, Alabama for a tri-match against Huntingdon and Maryville on Saturday, October 28 with games at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
