MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Piedmont women's soccer team made history on Saturday, becoming the first women's soccer team in school history to finish the regular season with an unbeaten record.
In 2015, the Lady Lions finished the regular season with one loss, a 2-1 decision against Meredith.
With the win, Piedmont finished tied for first in the West Division and will host a quarterfinal match on Saturday.
Junior
JAZMIN PENADO scored the game winner just 56 seconds into overtime after classmate
CASSIDY REICH placed the ball in the perfect area. Penado was able to take a touch before beating the goalie for the game winner.
Reich led all players with seven shots while Penado matched Reich with three shots on goal.
Freshman keeper
MIRANDA MCNALLEY finished with four saves.
