Macon, GA - In a rematch of the two meeting just two weeks ago, the Lady Lions faced the Wolves of Wesleyan College taking the contest on the road 80-47, finishing the sweep of the USA South opponent.
PC came off the tipoff hot going on an early 8-point run with
BRIDGETTE KELLY and
BRIANNA BARRETT hitting back to back threes. With just over a minute left in the quarter, Kelly went to the charity stripe where she hit both shots to give the Lady Lions a 13-7 after the first quarter.
Kelly would return to the line to open up the scoring for Piedmont in the second quarter remaining perfect from the charity stripe. Carlie Shields and
BRIANNA BARRETT netted back to back threes in the closing minute of the half with PC on top 40-20. The Lady Lions outscored the Wolves 27-13 in the second quarter, doubling up Wesleyan at the break to lead by 20.
The third quarter was slow offensively for Piedmont and the Wolves attempted a comeback out scoring the Lady Lions by four points in the quarter. However, the Lady Lions bounced back dramatically in the fourth quarter to outscore Wesleyan 25-8.
The final quarter was started with a Wesleyan three pointer but that was met by 21 points by the Lady Lions as they held the opposition to only three points before the final minute of the game. Piedmont's shooters hit their stride in this quarter beating the Wolves 80-47 in the contest.
Turning Point
--Piedmont went on a 21-point run in the fourth quarter to secure the victory over the Wolves as the Lady Lions outscored Weleyan 25-8 in the final quarter.
Standout Performances
--
DAKOTA SULLENS went near perfect from the charity stripe knocking down 5-of -6 attempts while collecting 17 points in the contest.

CARLY SALES and Sullens both notched 8 rebounds in the game each with 6 defensive and 2 offensive rebounds.
Inside the Box Score
--Wesleyan turned the ball over 23 times throughout the game and PC managed 32 points off turnovers.
News & Notes
--The last meeting between the two was exactly a week ago in Cave Arena and the Lady Lions shot 11.6% better from the field this time around.
Up Next
--The Lady Lions travel to Decatur, Georgia Sunday to play Agnes Scott College at 2 p.m. PC held the Scotties to only 36 points when the two teams met in the Cave earlier this season.
