Naperville, IL - The Piedmont College women's basketball team started their road trip with a 67-101 loss to North Central College Friday night in Naperville, Illinois.
The Lady Lions were first on the board with
CARLIE SHIELDS connecting with
DAKOTA SULLENS for a layup less than thirty seconds into the contest. However the Cardinals quickly answered with a nine-point streak to slow down the Lady Lions.
After the first PC was trailing by ten and once again it was Sullens that was first to score for Piedmont in quarter two putting the score to 10-18. This layup was not enough to keep the Cardinals from shooting from distance as they scored nine three pointers in the second quarter alone. The Cardinals had extended their lead to thirty by the time the halftime buzzer went off.
In the second half it was a similar game as the Lady Lions kept trying to close the gap but the Cardinals would hit another one from deep. North Central kept shooting until the final horn with the fast paced transition play that worked throughout the game.
