Chicago, IL - The Piedmont College women's basketball team fell in their final Chicago trip contest to North Park University 57-86 early Saturday evening.

In the first quarter both teams were battling back and forth until the last few minutes where the Vikings pulled ahead ending the quarter 10-17.

CARLY SALES hit AMARI PRICE with a pass in open space where Price was able to get on the board first to start the second quarter. The Lady Lions closed the gap to under ten points difference before the Vikings went on a 13 point run to finish the quarter 27-48.

PC won quarter three putting in a game high of 19 points in the quarter to the Vikings 16. However North Park quickly bounced back by doubling Piedmont in the fourth quarter posting a final of 57-86 in favor of North Park. 


Turning Point
-- The Vikings put up a thirteen point run in the second quarter to extend their lead by 21.

Standout Performances
-- DAKOTA SULLENS and CARLIE SHIELDS posted three blocks each in the contest helping stop the heavy shooting from North Park
-- AMARI PRICE and Carly Sales went even in points with ten each against the Vikings

Inside the Box Score
-- Piedmont was 75% from the charity stripe in the first half putting in 6 of 8 from the line
-- Both teams battled in the lane posting 36 points per team in the paint

News & Notes
-- This concludes the Lady Lions trip to the north before coming home for three consecutive games in Cave Arena.
