Demorest, GA - In a step back in conference play, the Piedmont College women's soccer team defeated Huntingdon College 2-1 courtesy of a second half score from CASSIDY REICH on Saturday afternoon.

Piedmont got on the board first when SAMANTHA ISHEE put away a free kick service from TORI GILLETT in the 25th minute as Ishee continues to lead PC in the scoring column with five now on the year.

The Lady Lions would control play throughout, but a free kick score from distance allowed the Hawks back into the contest when Jenna Maschino connected on the 49th minute goal.

With the game now level at one each, Piedmont continued to pour on the attack outshooting the Hawks 9-0 the rest of the way.  It was in the 78th minute when the home team finally broke through for the second time on the day as CASSIDY REICH put home a deflected ball for the victory.

For Reich, the goal marked her second straight game with a goal as she also scored earlier in the week in a home loss to Berry.
