Demorest, GA - The Piedmont College women's basketball team has been on a roll winning their fifth straight with a 92-57 victory over William Peace University in USA South play earlier Saturday afternoon.

PC trailed by two early in the first but went on a dominating 21-0 run for the next 6-plus minutes of the opening period to all but put it away as the Lady Lions led by 18 at the half.  The story of the day for Piedmont was the play of youngster JATASIA BAILEY who continues to impress scoring 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field.

Piedmont outscored the Pacers by nearly the same margin in the second half cruising to the 35-point decision in Cave Arena in front of a packed house once again. The home team created 38 points off 26 William Peace turnovers forcing the Pacers out of their rhythm more than once with stifling defense.

LE'SHAUNDA JONES led the team with her three steals as she continues to rank among the best in the USA South in that category along with teammate BRIANNA BARRETT who make a formidable pair for opposing offenses.  The Piedmont senior Jones is tied for 5th in the league in that column 13 back of the leader while Barrett sits in 3rd.

Turning Point
--Piedmont decided it early after trailing by two in the early going as BRIANNA BARRETT hit a pair of free throws to start a 21-0 run from the 6:57 mark in the 1st period to the 1:39 mark.
