MEGAN HATFIELD started the offensive show with a smashed shot to the upper 90 in just the 8th minute of play for the early advantage.
Six different Lady Lions scored on the afternoon including two freshmen in ALORA MCCOY with a score in the 13th minute and SARAH WEBER with a goal in the 51st minute. For McCoy, the goal was her second in as many games as she also scored in yesterday's 4-1 win over LaGrange. Piedmont scored three goals in each half as
TORI GILLETT scored just before 28 minutes gone on perhaps one of the best goals all season after several combinations right at the top of the box.
CASSIDY REICH added to her season totals now at 14 with a PK in the 71st before defender
HALEY HALL capped the scoring with a right-footed shot over the head of the Berea keeper in the 74th to put the final score at 6-nil.
Senior
MICHAELA GARDNER kept the shutout in goal playing the full 90 for yet another clean sheet, her 12th such performance of the season.
Turning Point--Piedmont needed just over seven minutes to break a scoreless tie with senior forward
MEGAN HATFIELD scoring just over seven minutes in to earn the game-winner on Senior Day.

MICHAELA GARDNER recorded her 12th clean sheet of the 2015 season as the Piedmont defense continues to climb the record books.

MEGAN HATFIELD had a goal and an assist on Senior Day as she was recognized prior to the contest along with six of her classmates.
Inside the Box Score--Piedmont out-shot the visiting Mountaineers 29-2 with Berea unable to put a shot on target through the day.
--The Lady Lions also did not allow a corner kick to Berea while creating eight of their own on the afternoon.
--Piedmont's 29 shots as a team tied for the season-high mark in that category as PC also posted 29 in an 11-0 win over Mary Baldwin earlier this season.

--The 6-goal margin is the third time this season that Piedmont has defeated an opponent by at least half a dozen goals.Up NextA two-game road trip in conference play this coming weekend as the Lady Lions visit Ferrum College and Greensboro College on Friday and Saturday respectively. Kickoff against Ferrum on Friday is set for 4:00 pm while the match against Greensboro on Saturday is slated for a 2:00 pm start.
