LaGrange, GA - After a scoreless first half for the second straight game, the Piedmont College women's soccer team came out red-hot in the second half of Saturday's 4-1 win over LaGrange College in USA South play.

PC scored three goals in the first eight minutes of the second half after being held off the board in the opening 45 minutes with ALORA MCCOY scoring the first on another assist from CASSIDY REICH.  McCoy's goal was her second of the season while Reich tabs her conference-leading 12th assist of the year.

LaGrange equalized 94 seconds later, but Piedmont answered with goals from Reich and SAMANTHA ISHEE in less than a three-minute span to assume control early in the second half.  Reich would add another in the 69th minute for good measure though the result had been decided already with Piedmont running away with the three-goal win on the road and three points in the conference standings.

Turning Point
--McCoy's score just 2:29 into the 2nd half broke a scoreless streak of 236 minutes for the Lady Lions who battled Maryville to a scoreless draw this past Wednesday.

Standout Performances
--ALORA MCCOY tabbed a goal and an assist with her helper coming on the SAMANTHA ISHEE goal in the 53rd minute.
--CASSIDY REICH had two goals and an assist as she still continues to lead the USA South in goals, points, and assists.

Inside the Box Score
--The contest was scoreless at the half before Piedmont scored three goals in the first eight minutes of the 2nd period to set the tone for the final 45 in LaGrange.
--Though the shots and corners were close in the first, Piedmont dominated the scoresheet in the 2nd outshooting LaGrange 11-2 and taking five corners without conceeding one to the Panthers.

News & Notes
--Piedmont came into this afternoon's contest having won the last nine meetings in the series between these two programs by a 26-5 margin.
--The Lady Lions have been held scoreless in the first half in each of their last two outings now after today.
