LaGrange, GA - The Piedmont College men's soccer team suffered a setback in conference play falling to LaGrange College 2-1 in overtime on Saturday afternoon as part of the USA South portion of the schedule for PC.

Piedmont held a 1-0 lead at halftime after CULLEN COPLAND had scored to give the visitors the advantage against the Panthers with his goal coming in the 8th minute of play.  Holding the edge at the intermission, Piedmont watched the home team draw level in the 63rd on a Daniel Provence goal making it one all with still close to a half hour to play.

Though a second yellow on LaGrange's Kristian Javier would give Piedmont a man-up advantage over the last 22 minutes of regulation, the Lions were unable to capture their early momentum from Copland's score in the first heading into overtime with the Panthers tied one each.

It was then time for Diego Torres to be the hero for the home team as he scored just over seven minutes into the first overtime period to break the deadlock and hand LaGrange a 2-1 win in league action.

Turning Point
--The overtime goal by LaGrange which handed the Panthers its first win in USA South play this season.

Standout Performances
--CULLEN COPLAND scored his 4th goal of his debut season for the Green and Gold and first in the month of October as his last score came in Piedmont's 1-1 draw with Covenant on September 30.
--Diego Torres who earned the gamewinner for LaGrange in overtime, the Panthers' second win over Piedmont in the last nine meetings.

Inside the Box Score
--Piedmont out-shot LaGrange 15-10 forcing Panther keeper Bonner Brooks to make eight saves on the day.
