Box Score DEMOREST, Georgia - The Piedmont College baseball team picked up a 9-3 non-conference victory this evening at Loudermilk Field over Oglethorpe University. The Lions pounded out 11 hits while the pitching staff struck out a season-best 14 hitters en route to the win.

Keith Grabowski who led the inning off with a double. After the Stormy Petrels took the lead with a pair in the third, Piedmont answered with a single run in the home-half as
Will Skidmore posted an RBI-groundout.
Piedmont would take the lead for good in the fifth with three runs on as many hits highlighted by a two-out
James Moyer double that scored two runs. After OU notched a single run in the sixth the Lions added four insurance runs in the bottom of the inning to extend the margin to 9-3.
The Lions bullpen combined for seven innings allowing only one earned run while striking out 12.
Drew Stephens earned the relief win going a scoreless fifth inning without allowing a hit.
Grabowski paced the offense going 3-4 with three runs scored while
Matt Youtsey chipped-in going 2-4.
The victory moves Piedmont to 16-14 overall. The Lions will return to USA South Conference action this Friday, April 5 as they play host to Averett University starting at 7:00.
