Box Score LAGRANGE, Georgia - The Piedmont College baseball team dropped the third and final game of the three-game USA South Conference series with host LaGrange College this afternoon by the score of 9-6. The Lions committed three costly errors that led to four unearned runs as the Panthers took two of three in the series.

The Lions jumped out with a pair of runs on three hits in the second inning as Austin Brick posted an RBI-double. The Panthers would answer with two runs in their at-bat before Brick struck again with an RBI-groundout in the third making the score 3-2.

The home team would post three runs in the fourth before Piedmont would tie the score in the sixth as Keith Grabowski and Will Skidmore added single RBI's respectively. The 5-5 tie would not last long as the Panthers added two runs in the home half and insurance runs in the next two innings. Despite a single run in the ninth the Lions could get no closer and dropped the three-run decision.

Brick, Grabowski and Michael Barnes led the offense each going 3-5 with three combined RBI's. The loss slides Piedmont to 15-14 overall and 12-9 in the USA South. The men will return to action on Wednesday, April 3 as they host non-conference foe Oglethorpe University starting at 7:00.
