Box Score ATLANTA, Georgia -- The Piedmont College men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference decision this afternoon at Oglethorpe University as the host Stormy Petrels scored two early goals to separate from the Lions.   The loss drops PC to 3-2-1 overall on the season.

On a soggy John P. Salamone Memorial Field, the hosts scored two quick goals and held the PC offense at bay for the remainder of the half to carry a 2-0 lead into intermission.

Sydney Smith was able to connect on a goal in the 80th minute to wash away the shutout.  The forward posted a team-high eight shots on goal.

KENNETH HEARN tallied seven saves in goal for the Lions.

Oglethorpe has now won five of six matches to start the 2012 season.

Piedmont returns to action on Friday evening at PC's Walker Field when the Lions play host to Bob Jones University under the lights with a 7:00 PM kick off.
