Box Score MARYVILLE, Tennessee – The Piedmont College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Hendrix College to open the season in a neutral match held at Maryville College. Hendrix scored the game winner in the 50
th minute and held off a late flurry from the Lions to secure the victory.
Hendrix held a 10-2 advantage in shots on goal and pitched its second consecutive shutout in two days.
PC's was able to punch through the potential equalizer with under a minute left in regulation but the goal was called back due to an offsides infraction.

SIDNEY SMITH was the lone Lion to record a shot on goal as the senior midfielder had two shots turned away.
Piedmont will return to action on Thursday, September 6 when the team makes the short trip over to Toccoa, GA to take on local rival Toccoa Falls College with kick off set for 7:00 PM.
