Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MONTGOMERY, Alabama – The Piedmont College volleyball team kicked off its 2012 season by splitting a pair of matches at the Huntingdon College Jubilee downing Mississippi College 3-0 in the opener before dropping a 3-0 decision to Birmingham Southern College.

In the team's opener the Lady Lions downed MC 25-22, 25-22, 25-17 behind a team-high five kills from sophomore JENNIFER OPPER.  Defensively PAIGE ESLINGER recorded 29 digs while XANDY GREEN (15) and ASHLEY FANNON (17) combined for 32 assists from the setter position.

In the nightcap, BSC pulled away for the 25-20, 25-13, 25-23 decision despite a team-high seven kills from KAITLIN NORMAN. Eslinger wrapped up another solid evening with 25 digs.  Kathryn Knarr added 11 assists and three service aces for Piedmont. 

Piedmont will wrap up play in the Huntingdon College Jubilee even tomorrow with a 11:00 AM EST tilt with fellow USA South member LaGrange College before wrapping up with a 3:00 EST match against the host Hawks of Huntingdon.
