Box Score ATLANTA, Georgia -- The Piedmont College volleyball team wrapped up its 2012 regular-season Tuesday with a 3-1 road win at NCAA Division II Clark Atlanta University. The Lady Lions (21-11) reeled off two straight sets after splitting the first two to earn the victory.
Piedmont cruised in the opener 25-10 only to see CAU level the score at a set apeice with a 25-21 win in the second frame. PC would secure its 21st victory of the season winning the last two 25-21 and 25-20.
KAITLIN NORMAN was again the offensive highlight as she tallied a team-high 13 kills while teammate
JENNIFER OPPER was one shy of double figures with nine.
KATHERYN KNARR dished out 23 assists while
PAIGE ESLINGER added 17 digs. Knarr was just a pair of digs shy of a double-double as she collected eight.
Piedmont will now set its sights on the 2012 USA South Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship November 2-4 in Martinsville, VA. The Lady Lions enter the eight-team Fall Festival as the fifth seed and will take on fourth-seeded Averett University on Friday at 3:00 PM at Patrick Henry Community College.
