Roanoke, VA --
The Piedmont College women's soccer team used a pair of first half scores to get their fifth win in as many games to start the 2011 season defeating Hollins University 2-0.  Marking their fourth shutout victory of the season, Piedmont had the run of play throughout most of the afternoon outshooting the home team eight to one on target in the winning effort.

Notching Piedmont's first goal of the day was junior Dilyn MacLean who earned her second goal of PC's Virginia road trip tapping away a corner kick early on in the first half.  Later in the same period, senior midfielder Justine Clay netted her fourth goal in the past two games lacing a long distance strike over the head of the home team goalkeeper.

With two goals in the bag, the Lady Lions looked to their defense and sohpomore goalkeeper Marjorie Hammond to keep the Hollins attack out of the back of the net.  PC was up to the task limiting the home team's chances on goal to post yet another shutout performance.

With the victory, the Lady Lions move to a perfect 5-0 on the season, their second such start under the direction of fourth-year Head Coach Stephen Andrew.  Piedmont will have a few days off to prepare for Oglethorpe University who visits Walker Athletic Complex on Wednesday, September 14th for a 5:30 pm evening contest.
