Birmingham, AL -- After falling to the host Birmingham Southern College to begin the day, the Piedmont College volleyball team made a quick recovery to grab their second win of the weekend defeating Rust College by a 3-0 score.  As a team, PC posted 68 combined kills over the two Sunday matches as the squad improved to 3-2 in their first five matches of the season.

Against Birmingham Southern, senior Heather Stafford led the way as the right side hitter posted ten kills with no errors while Rachel Powell added seven kills of her own.  Defensive specialist Jennifer Granlund lived up to her title earning 23 digs in the match against the host team.
