Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College women's tennis team fell in its opening match of the Great South Athletic Conference to #3 seed Spelman College this afternoon at Burgen Tennis Courts. The Lady Lions fought hard to grab a victory at #1 doubles, but dropped three singles matches to end their 2010 campaign.

Tyler Baldonado and junior
Jennifer Granlund were the pair responsible for the victory at the top doubles slot taking the match in a tie break situation.
The Lady Lions end the 2010 season with a 6-11 overall record while maintaining a 2-5 mark in conference play.
