Basketball Teams Set For GSAC Championship Tournament

The PC men's and women's basketball teams are set to take part in the Great South Athetic Conference championship tournament beginning Friday, February 26.
Decatur, GA -- The Piedmont College men's and women's basketball teams are set to travel to Decatur, GA this weekend to take part in the Great South Athletic Conference Championship Tournament hosted by Agnes Scott College.  The weekend features the semifinals played on Friday and the conference title games slated for Saturday.

The third-seeded PC women's team earned a spot in the final four by virute of Tuesday night's 84-58 quarterfinal play-in victory over sixth-seeded Salem College.  The Lady Lions will now face second-seeded LaGrange College at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 26.  LC swept the two-game regular-season series.

On the men's side, the Lions finished the regular-season as the second seed and will face third-seeded LaGrange at 7:30 PM on Friday.  The two teams split the regular-season series with each winning on the road. 

Saturday's championships are set for 2:00 for the women and 4:00 for the men. Maryville College is the top seed in both brackets.
