LaGrange, GA -- The Piedmont College men's soccer team fell for the fifth time this season earlier this evening dropping a 2-1 decision on the road to Great South Athletic Conference member school LaGrange College. After allowing a pair of goals to the home team, the Lions cut into the Panthers' lead late but time ran out on PC before the squad could find the equalizer.
Finding themselves trailing by a goal at halftime, PC continued to press forward before allowing another score to the Panthers in the 74th minute. Junior
NICK WEATHERBY put PC on the board converting a penalty kick in the 80th minute, but the score would not be enough to get the Lions a win on the road.
With the loss, Piedmont falls to 8-5 overall while evening up their record away from home at 4-4. The Lions will look to rebound when they travel to defending GSAC champion Maryville College on Saturday, October 16 for a 6:00 showdown.
