Box Score

Maryville, TN --
The Piedmont College men's soccer team went neck and neck on the road with the Scots of Maryville College before allowing two late scores to fall 2-0 on the road earlier today.  The two goal decision marks the first Great South Athletic Conference loss of the season for the Lions who now stand at 1-1 in league play.

The two schools fought to a scoreless tie through the intermission before the home Scots managed to find the back of the net twice within a minute of play midway through the second half.  The pair of goals would be more than enough for the home team to take a 2-0 win over the visiting Lions of Piedmont.

PC drops to 8-6 on the season with the loss and also falls to 1-1 in GSAC play.  The team will look to snap their current two-game losing streak with a victory over another GSAC member school in Huntingdon College one week from today on Saturday, October 23.  The Lions travel to Montgomery to face the Hawks with kickoff set for 4:00.
