Men's Soccer Clips Eagles 6-1

Freshman Abu Bangura posted his first collegiate goal in the Lions' 6-1 victory over Toccoa Falls College this evening at Walker Field.

Demorest, GA -- The Piedmont College men's soccer team picked up a non-conference win this evening at Walker Field over the Eagles of local rival Toccoa Falls College. The men took a comfortable 3-0 advantage into the half en route to the five-goal victory.

After 25 minutes of scoreless soccer senior Jorge Pradilla posted a pair of goals in the span of seven minutes, the second being the eventual game-winner. Sophomore Ryan Smith capped the first half scoring with a goal off a Pradilla pass giving the Lions a comfortable 3-0 advantage.

In the second frame Pradilla struck again just 11 minutes in for the hat trick. After a TFC goal freshman midfielder Abu Bangura and John McClenny connected on their first collegiate goals to seal the win.

The Lions, now 3-1 overall, will hit the road for the first Great South Athletic Conference match of the season on Saturday, September 19th at Maryville College in Maryville, TN with kick-off slated for 6:00.
